Day 1

Day one started on one of the hottest days of the year .... so breakfast was iced coffee and lunch was a protein drink mixed with rhubarb, and a side of cucumber.

I am prep'g dinner right now ... and man it's so hot.

Asked a couple of friends why our body fat couldn't melt and excrete out of our bodies on these kinds of days. Butter and chocolate certainly seem to become a liquid form quickly enough!!  Oh well!!

Time to join My Fitness Pal again and properly record my food!

Tomorrow's goal is to stay on protocol again ... the week's goal is to lose two pounds ... long term goal is 20 lbs before November 9th, as it would be nice to have my clothes feel better while on vacation.

Where I've been ...

I started this journey in February 2012 after losing a dear friend to congestive heart failure the previous September.

My mantra was "nothing tastes as good, as being skinny feels".  My goal was to lose weight and have abdominoplasty surgery.  I lost 100 lbs between February 2012 and March 2013 and achieved my dream of having all the ugly, loose skin removed.

If I only knew then, what I know now!  I wish someone had made me wait and maintain my weight for a year!  Suffice it to say, it's been a journey of up and down ... and mostly ups in the weight department.

I have half-heartedly tried over the last couple of years to lose the weight .... I know I can do it, I have the tools to do it ... I just need to get my mojo back.

Part of my initial mojo was blogging, praying and being diligent.

I'm coming back to basics .... starting this blog, using a book called Made to Crave and journaling my food for accountability.

PLUS ... I have some like minded ladies walking the journey with me.

I want to say "wish me luck" ... but I know luck has nothing to do with it ... it's hard work and requires a paradigm shift!!
